Han transcurrido 7 meses , y por fin sale una versión nueva de wifislax64 , la version 1.1. Esta sigue utilizando como base slackware64-14.2 + actualizaciones de seguridad , con lo que la estabilidad esta garantizada.
Esta nueva versión no trae grandes novedades, algunas son mejoras en rendimiento , algunas aplicaciones nuevas y corrección de los bugs reportados.
Características sobre la nueva versión de la 64 Bits: la version 1.1.
Se ha trabajado el sistema de menú de aplicaciones , para que si llegase una actualización de seguridad del paquete “kdelibs”, el menú no se rompa , como ha pasado en la versión 1.0 hace poco.

Ahora wifislax en modo live , es capaz de ver si el sistema donde se esta usando dispone de alguna partición swap , si fuese el caso , automáticamente la tendría en cuenta , y en caso de quedarse sin memoria ram , haría uso de dicha partición swap.

Se puede desactivar dicha función si queremos , pasando en la linea de arranque el parámetro “noswap” , de ese modo aunque existan particiones swap , serian ignoradas.
Se ha continuado recopilando aplicaciones que antes estaban en wifislax (version de 32 bits) , se podría decir que no falta ninguna , están las de siempre , mas las nuevas que se han añadido durante el paso a los 64 bits.

el driver “propietario” de nuestra tarjeta gráfica NVDIA o AMD , en el caso de las AMD – el driver es el catalyst 15.12 el cual tiene soporte solo hasta la serie radeon 300 y fury.
Como siempre el sistema se puede ampliar fácilmente , bien bajando “módulos” ya creados por algún usuario , o bien usando “slackbuilds.org”.
