‘Media in Postmodern Times’: AIOU holds first national media conference

Islamabad: The media expected to contribute all the more effectively in acquiring constructive change the general public, and help to improve the expectation for everyday comforts of the individuals.

This was expressed by the speakers while tending to the debut meeting of First National Media Conference named ‘Media in Postmodern Times’, organized by Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) here on Friday.

The speakers including prestigious writers, Sajjad Mir and Khurshid Nadeem, other than the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Siddiqui featuring the obligations of writers in post-present day time, declared that the media should address the ground real factors, keeping in see the social and social needs of the general public.

Sajjad Mir directed the debut meeting while Khurshid Nadeem was the key-note speaker. As per the executive, Department of Mass Communication Dr. Saqib Riaz, the meeting was planned for creating scholastic media linkages to serve the general public through instructive interests. They called for having solid organization and ordinary connection between the media and the scholarly world to address the future difficulties, especially in the instruction division.
